Illustrate your answer with examples from K100 that involve a variety of care settings. Some people have to move to meet their care needs. May be because of disabling environment. Stairs, lack of room to manoeuvre with lift or wheelchair, or that the kitchen doesn't allow to make a cuppa (on important adaptations see K100, 2004a, p.16-7). An adapted accommodation promises to allow more independence. May be a move is considered because of extensive care needs, that can't be met at home. Most intense professional care is provided in care institutions. May be the conditions in the present home cause care needs, i.e. by bad building conditions or by cruel humans. Another accommodation could offer shelter and support. As shown by Norman (1980) moving can be as much a strain to individuals as bereavement is.
