The purpose of this assignment is to provide literary support for a seminar that is to be presented. The seminar is centred on a mental health scenario, in which Carol, a 39 year old woman is experiencing difficulty coping with various aspects of her life, following a prolonged period of sick leave and consequent resignation from her job. In relation to the information given within the scenario, the assignment intends to explore and identify the benefits a health promotion approach may provide for her, by highlighting the advantages and disadvantages it would present for her and her family.
