I will also outline the contents of a first aid kit and accident recording procedures that comply with legal requirements. A First Aider is someone who can provide immediate assistance or treatment to anyone injured or suddenly taken ill before the arrival of emergency services. (Section 1) As a first aider you have many responsibilities in an emergency situation. One of these is to assess a situation quickly, safely and summon appropriate assistance. Another responsibility is to protect those involved in the incident, for example casualties and any other people at the scene who may be in any possible danger.
