Illustrate How to Promote Service Users' Rights and Responsibilities Service users of all ages have many different rights, which should be supported and promoted by the organisations in which they depend upon. These organisations vary from hospitals to residential homes and should support service users by making them aware of their rights and responsibilities. This may be done through talks, written documents and recorded scripts for the blind. Elderly service users should have the right to: * Gain respect * Have a choice * Keep their dignity * Have trusted confidentiality * Keep their independence * Have privacy Service users should feel that they have a significant impact on their life - this is through choices!
