The following care analysis will demonstrate an achievement of the learning outcomes of this unit. The analysis will be centred on an infant born at 26 weeks gestation. All of the names have been changed in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct, Section 5, (2002). Learning outcome 4 will follow him through his journey from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) onto a paediatric ward. This will incorporate his complex needs in the critical care setting with a focus on his long term needs.
