Have a little read: ... Examine critically the changing patterns of gender in Sweden in the post-war period. Gender has been such a crucial issue in Europe for so many years. Gender can be identified and defined in so many different ways depending on ones perspective. However, these are some of the definitions in which gender can be classified; Sexual identity: The objective categorisation of a person's physiological status as male or female. Gender identity: A subjective, but continuous and persistent, sense of ourselves as masculine or feminine. Gender or sex role. The behaviours, attitudes values, beliefs that a particular cultural group considers appropriate for males and females on the basis of their biological sex.
