Population & British industrialisation experience? The Industrial Revolution, one of the most vital periods of change in Great Britain, occurred because of the stable economic, social, and political stance of the country, as well as brought lasting effects of economic and social development in Britain. Furthermore, drawing conclusions and assessing the consequences of population on the pace and process of economic growth is one of the oldest themes in the literature on economics. Economic development is the improvement in the quality of life as evidenced by rising levels of GDP and increased growth of real incomes (purchasing power). Economic development is brought about by several factors, of which population growth maybe quite significant. Even though British industrialisation, which is estimated to have started at the beginning of the 18th century, occurred as a result of several factors, in this essay I will try and identify the specific role that population...
