Raglan castle and the supporting sources help me to understand the way that castles changed and developed between the 11th and 16th centuries. To some extent, the sources show us some of the development from a motte and bailey to a concentric castle. However, from Raglan castle, we can't see the development from the motte and bailey to a concentric because Raglan is a courtyard castle design from the 1400's onwards Castles got more and more defensive and stronger, but when we look at Raglan castle, we can't see a big change in the development from a motte and bailey to a concentric castle.
