"Reality shows, defined as television programs in which common people, without the help of a script, are placed in a specific human situation and their reactions and behaviour filmed are becoming tremendously popular throughout the world (Encarta encyclopaedia). In British television (www. bbc.co.uk), Sam Brenton, author of "Everyone's A Winner," reports that there are currently at least five extremely popular reality shows. I also find that we are not just subjected to our own versions of these reality TV shows, but we must also endure the American ones also. American Idol, American Biggest Loser.
