... National cultures are still very important.' Evaluate this view of the globalization of culture. Within this essay I intend to explain the term globalization and also national culture. There are various definitions of what 'Globalization' is, and the effect it has on the world. There are also many schools of thoughts regarding globalization, amongst which I will examine and evaluate Globalist, Internationalist and the Transformationalist theory. Comparison between these opinions paints an interesting picture of what Globalization is, what certain parties want it to be seen as and its impact on national culture. 'Globalization' is a process said to affect several different aspects of the social world, mainly economics, politics and culture. The term globalization is often used in the sense to refer to the growing integration of societies across the world.
