A COMPARISON OF BIG 5 OPENNESS TO EXPERIENCES SCORES IN TWO MUSIC SITUATIONS INTRODUCTION The Big 5 personality test is a test to find out about our personality. The Big 5 personality test is available on the internet. This test measures the five fundamental dimensions of personality discovered through empirical research (Goldberg, 1993) which are extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness to experience. The Big 5 personality test website was used in this investigation. Each student participant completed the test and printed the Big 5 scores from the online outofservice.com/bigfive/ website. The Big 5 personality test is done to see openness to experiences scores in two musical situations. Hypothesis The music in two different situations does not have an effect on the Big 5 openness to experiences scores.
