How do your two chosen authorities differ in the way that they deliver services, and in the way that they are held into account? The government is an extremely important aspect of our country. They are a system of social control under which the right to make laws/rules, and the right to enforce them. The English government has a Central government which is in West Minster in the form parliament where national circumstances are discussed. Nevertheless, there are what is called local governments (political administration of the smallest subdivisions of a country's territory and population) which there are one for each county and one for each city. I will focus on two specific local governments, the Birmingham City Council and the Lincolnshire County Council.
