It consists of a full cage protection that covers the entire face. Most hockey injuries occur to the head and face. Lacerations (cuts) to the skull and face, along with concussions, have been minimized by the mandatory wearing of helmets and face masks at most levels of play. The Cooper HH1000L looks like any other sport helmet, except it is composed of two shells to adjust the size accordingly to the playerТs head. It is black on the outside with white interior padding. The stamp letters are printed in white and so are the straps. The cage part of the helmet consists of a transparent visor.
