Biofeedback lab Report Summary Biofeedback lab Report Introduction Biofeedback is a technique that can be used to apply learning theory to humans. The technique uses the principles of operant and classical conditioning to enable a person in lab/clinical conditions to control autonomic responses such as heart rate and skin temperature which are normally not under voluntary control. Normally the process involves a person being connected to a machine, which gives visual readings of their heart rate and blood pressure. They are then instructed to try and relax and once desired level is reached on lowering one or both readings they are to focus on maintaining this level. The reinforcement when carrying out biofeedback is a noise that sounds when level has been reached, and that maintaining this level is good for their health.
