Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr have been the two most talked about criminals of 2002/2003. Since August 4th 2002, that tragic day the girls went missing from near their home in Cambridgeshire, the whole case has had mass media coverage and every step has been followed in extreme detail. The murder trial as a whole would be too complicated and too long to analyse. However the aftermath of Huntley's conviction left the public questioning the Humberside police, this as an ongoing news story, the follow-ups and the accusations, would be interesting to analyse. After the Humberside force admitted they destroyed critical information on the murderer Ian Huntley, the pressure increased on them immensely.
