Media Analysis Print Journalism and the News Broadcast Technology Media and Society Samantha L Armstrong 'Media provides a public space in which information is shared and the public informed'1 Keeping the public informed can be an arduous task. The media has many different forms that capture the imagination and inform society of what is happening within its social ground, and on an international level. We communicate events and transfer knowledge to millions of minds everyday. Within my analysis I will be looking at the ways in which the news and current affairs are represented with a journalistic approach using the written word and its more visual counterpart the news broadcast. The two mediums chosen to represent the two different styles of media are the front page of The Independent newspaper and channel three and four's news for the 17th of March 1998.
