Gregory P. Dettra COM 251 3-1-03 Book Review The book that I chose to review was 1Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News. The Author is Bernard Goldberg, who worked as a well respected CBS News journalist for twenty-eight years. Goldberg was inspired to write Bias following the experiences he had after writing an opinion-editorial for the Wall Street Journal about how the media has a liberal bias. The book delved deep into the facts and specific cases that supported his statement on liberal bias, and also into the treatment Goldberg received in retaliation from media players that opposed his actions. Goldberg's lengthy career with CBS News lends him to be a credible author in describing what is really behind media news. He has worked with the best and seen a lot in his twenty-eight years.
