Analyse the Aids and Baby adverts used during Benetton's 1990 - 1992 campaign. Benetton is a multinational well-know fashion retailer whose purpose in there advertising is to promote and sell their brand of clothing. Benetton cause controversy during their 1990 - 1992 campaign when they used what were considered by many in the press and public to be unpleasant and disturbing images to promote their product. The campaign received widespread coverage in the press for the provocative images despite the fact that some people didn't find the images disturbing The campaign was run by a man named Oliverio Toscani, who joined Benetton in 1982. He was invited to do so by Lujano Benetton the company director who liked his work as a fashion photographer. Toscani was informed that he could do what he wanted to make Benetton popular. Early adverts by Toscani were put on billboards and double page spreads in magazines....
