Thelma and Louise Thelma and Louise is a film directed by Ridley Scott which cast includes Susan Sarandon who plays Louise and Glenda Davis as Thelma. Thelma and Louise is a classed as a road film and this is because of the obvious fact that they travel around the country by road. In this film, two best friends Thelma and Louise leave their relationships to embark on a journey to go and stay in a country lodge. But a lot more happens to the two girls than what they think is going to happen to them. In the film they both set off and every thing is almost fine and they don't have any worries. During their journey they come across a range of different situations that sometimes turn out to be dangerous and some quite comical. In the opening scene the first shot is of a long county road...
