Andrew Heale 1995 Luc Besson The extract from the film The Fifth Element that I analyzed was the third scene when you are first introduced to the character Corbin who is played by Bruce Willis. This is the scene set in and around his apartment. I started from when he wakes up from a nightmare and I ended my analysis when he goes out into the outside world in his Taxi. The Genre is Science fiction and the film is set in the year 2257. The Mise en Scene in this scene was used to make the apartment look futuristic. The walls are made from plastic or metal which is tiled to look like one tile covering the whole apartment, which is colored orange color symbolizing warmth.
