The Quick and The Dead The Quick and The Dead; a modern variation on the typical classic Western, produced and directed by Sam Raimi and Sharon Stone, who also stars in the film alongside Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe and Leonardo Di Caprio. However this film is no typical western, the film is untypical in many ways; for example, one of the main protagonists is a woman, although there are many features you would expect to find in a Western. The film is set in a classic Western town, called Redemption, which is ruled by evil Herod, played by Gene Hackman, aka the bad guy. He is wicked and holds a special competition every year with a large cash prize. As expected he cheats to make sure that he wins every time, protecting his reputation and keeping himself free from harm, but this year that is to change. Enter...
