Successful Ingredients Of A Science Fiction Film Before I discuss Science Fiction films I must begin by examining the word Science Fiction. Although no two people will actually agree to the precise meaning of the term I can explain to you the most important ingredients. It is not actually Fiction necessarily about science but fiction that use Science as a basis for a plot. But what does Science mean? In most people's minds Science Fiction is only associated with technology- usually in the form of spaceships, robots and other futuristic devices, all of which involve the 'hard sciences'. But 'science' is a term that covers a huge area of subjects like biology, sociology and psychology and so on. Common themes of science fiction films include the fallibility of scientists, the urgency of international co-operation against invaders from outer space or monsters from the earth and the evil aspects of technology.
