Shrek 'Shrek appeals to a wide range of audiences, how have the makers of the film enabled this to happen?' In my essay, I am going to show you how the makers of Shrek make the film appeal to a wide range of audience. To start with I am going to look at Shrek's genres. Shrek cannot be classified as fitting into one genre, as it has a lot of different genres. However the main genre is a Fairy tale, as it is based on a traditional Fairy tale containing a Princess and a Dragon. Shrek can also be classified as a romance; Shrek and Fiona falling in love with each other show this. Another of Shrek genres is adventure; Shrek and Donkey go on an adventure to rescue Princess Fiona from the dragon in the castle.
