Gemma Small Nick Park, the creator of the well known "Wallace and Gromit" films, was born in Preston, Lancashire in 1958. He became interested in animation while he was at school. Nick started making films at the age of 13 in his parent's attic. Nick completed a BA Degree in communication at the Sheffield Arts School. There he got a crash course in videos, photography, film and performance. That same year Nick went on to study animation at the national film and television school at Beaconsfield. At the age of 15, Nick thought he had reached the pinnacle of his career. At his six form college Nick studied an arts Foundation Degree course, which was broadly based including different media's e.g. stain glass, painting, sculpture and jewellery.
