Media Studies Supporting Account Hannah Thomson GCSE Our trailers target audience is teenagers, and we have reached our intended audience by including teenage actors in our trailer. Our trailer was intended to be aimed at both males and females, however we found it difficult to find male actors who wanted to participate in the filming and so we would probably lose some of our male audience because of this. In our trailer we have used many horror conventions. We have darkened and made some shots black and white to add eerie effect. Doing this eliminates any cheerfulness that other colours may insinuate. We kept the colour in some shots however ( i.e. the flickering light) because otherwise the film wouldn't have held much appeal if it was all monochrome.
