Over the past week we have been studying a film that was set in Salford near Manchester, in the early 1970s. This film is called East is East, it is based on a Asian family living in Britain and how they mix in with the British identity, except from the dad which is a strict Muslim and a strict parent. When we think about British people we usually think of the white middle class people. When we hear the word "British" the ideas that we gather around in our heads is that the Cold, Cloudy, Rainy weather that the British countries have.
