The film let him have It directed by Peter Medak and released in 1990 shows the true life story of a 19 year old man who was a victim of a miscarriage of justice. In 1953 he was executed for the murder of a policeman even though he never fired a shot, was under arrest at the time the shooting happened and he also had a mental age of just eleven years old. The real misfortune for Derek Bentley began as soon as he met Christopher Craig, but on this particular night it began on the roof of a warehouse, after Derek Bentley was talk into a burglary with his controlling friend Christopher Craig.
