Michael Hollifield 11A How does Alfred Hitchcock use Cinematic techniques to create A feeling of suspense in the film Rebecca. The film Rebecca has been adapted from the novel which was written by Daphne du Murier. Mr Dewinter is married to a lady called Rebecca who dies in a boat accident. He gets re-married to the new Mrs Dewinter. When he takes her to Mandela she can feel the presence of his former wife Rebecca in the house. Alfred Hitchcock was a very well known director; he directed films such as PHSYCO. He was better at directing black and white films such as Rebecca. In Rebecca he uses cinematic techniques and feelings of suspense to keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. This film won an award even though it was his first American film.
