How do you think the advert tries to persuade people to buy a gameboy? The advert is aimed at an audience of 13 years plus. We can tell this as the graphics and language used would be more meaningful to an older person. The purpose of the advert is to is to make the audience want to go out and buy a gameboy. It does this by making the gameboy seem inexpensive, simple and something you can't live without. The advert uses many different techniques of persuasive language. It does this by making promises, using puns, humour, the rule of three and questions. The promises make the audience want to buy the product they do this by making the product seem as though it's different to all the other merchandise available and they make it seem special, 'Wherever you are, be somewhere else.'
