How can director David Lynch be distinguished as an Auteur? The majority of articles/reviews/resources (above) that I selected as evidence towards David Lynch being an auteur were found in the film specialist magazine Sight & Sound. Already, I have found this to be a beneficial and dependable resource from a professional and methodically critical viewpoint. I am particularly optimistic when referring to Sight & Sound because it explains Lynch's references to other films and novels, including their directors and authors. Sight & Sound is renowned for its pragmatic insight into literally all areas of film. With the evidence I have discovered from these resources, I am confident in my research and will not hesitate to refer to it at any point I feel necessary.
