Explain why you think the director of The Blessing chose to film and Edit in this way This is a film to accompany a poem called The Blessing by Imtiaz Dharker. In the film the audience is shown how valuable water is in hot less fortunate countries. The audience is shown how devastating and destroying life can be without water. The Director shows this by opening his film with a young coloured boy lying on a dried, cracked earth. He looks similar to the ground in that he looks dry, lonely and maybe even dead. At this point in the film the pace is very slow this helps the audience to understand how slow and agonising the wait is for the boy. However by pure change the municipal pipe bursts and provides water for the less fortunate people than those who the water is meant for, usually these people who live in...
