The Godfather is a Film by Francis Ford Coppola portraying the life of the mafia interwoven with family ties. Its attempts to show how family life affects the livelihood you choose. The concept of the mafia works mainly because of strong family and their codes of secrecy. It illustrates bold mafia icons such as guns and long coats against the background of family meals and meetings. When this is combined with potent character castings and an excellent storyline it provides for a successful book-film conversion. The Godfather was originally a book by Mario Puzo.
