COMPARISON OF JOY LUCK CLUB THE NOVEL AND THE MOVIE The novel and the film aren't much different but there are some changes being made and some scenes added in or aren't shown in the film from the book. What make the film better are the way it has been structured and also the fact that it is a film, so you could watch how the characters express themselves rather than picturing it your head. But the disappointing part of the film is that it is not directly from the book. The missed a few chapters and scenes.
