Bryn Richmond In this essay, I am going to analyse and compare the ways in which three different film trailers aim to appeal to their target audiences. The three film trailers that I have chosen to study are for, "The English Patient," "G.I. Jane," and "Flubber." They are all trailers for three completely different genres of films, with one being a romance, one an action film, and one being a children's' comedy. I am going to look at the ways in which the trailers aim to appeal to their target audiences for the different genres. The first film trailer that I studied was for "The English Patient." This film trailer is for a historical romance that contains a lot of intimacy and passionate scenes with what appears to be the odd bit of action as well.
