[1] [image002.jpg] [2] [image004.jpg] This is a brief synopsis of Sleeping Beauty and Mulan involving the theorists Propp and Todorov's narrative structures. [3][image006.jpg] Sleeping Beauty was the third of Disney's fairytale feature films; it was released in 1959 with a positive outcome. I will start the synopsis using Todorov's narrative structure from the climax. The climax happens when Maleficent manages to capture Prince Phillip. The three good fairies free the prince and help him conquer the villain as the resolution. Prince Phillip finds Aurora and kisses her, breaking the curse. Aurora and Prince Phillip get married and live happily ever after proving that "true love conquers all". [4][image007.jpg] Mulan is Disney's' thirty-sixth animated film and one of the first created after the death of Walt Disney meaning roles
