This may be 2 weeks late, but I would like to talk about my view on the spread of technology today. While hearing the lecture on the topic, the point that interested me most was the different speed that people choose to adopt technology. It seems that those that adopt faster can act as the accelerator of the technology development process because the cost that they pay for adopting technology at the introduction stage is usually much higher than the later stage and thereby should contribute greatly to the research on higher technological development. That is, however, just one side of the story. The question we should ask here is why do they have to adopt the technology that fast? Does the technology worth enough for them to pay the extra price? Even if the price is not really an issue for them, do they have really enough knowledge about...
