The US Constitution is More Pluralist than the UK Constitution. Discuss To determine which of the constitutions is more pluralist we have to see which constitution provides access for influence to many groups rather than one group dominating the political process. Firstly if we look at the amendment procedures in both the US and UK it is evident that the procedure is more pluralist in the US because many different groups have a role in the amendment of the constitution. In the US super majorities are required in that both the House and the Senate must have a majority of two-thirds and the states must have a three-quarter majority. After this the Supreme Court with the power of Judicial Review (established in 1805 Marberry vs. Maddison) may deem it to be unconstitutional as it may conflict with another aspect of the constitution.
