Explain and illustrate the doctrine of Parliamentary Sovereignty, and consider whether it is compatible with this aspect of constitutionalism. Although the UK's constitution can be said to be unwritten, it is however clearly made up of fundamental rules and principles with a purpose of protecting the sovereignty of the nation. Constitutionalism is a belief that the government will accept as part of their duty, to abide by and follow these rules and principles, and uphold the rule of law.
