Introduction Trade Related Intellectual Property Right (TRIPs) Agreement adopted by World Trade Organization (WTO) in 1995 introduced intellectual property rules into the multilateral trading system for the first time, and it has become the more significant elements of international cooperation and treaty making. For developing countries, TRIPs Agreement has had profound consequences. Public attention and debate have focused on effects of implementation of TRIPs agreement by WTO in developing world, particularly affected countries in poor. The purpose of this essay is summarize and discuss the impact of the introduction of TRIPs Agreement on developing world. The essay provides an overview into the TRIPs Agreement and the extent to the agreement, particularly Article 27.3 (b) and Article 31of the agreement, impinge upon food security and access to essential medicines in the developing world, in order to addresses an argument that whether implementation of TRIPs disadvantages developing countries or in their interest....
