Glebe Cottage is presently unregistered and has been owned by Maizie for many years. It has a field to the rear which is owned by the Parish Council. There were plans to use the field as a cricket pitch but there have never been enough funds to put in the necessary facilities. It became overgrown and somewhat of an eyesore. Major Steel, the chairman of the Parish Council told Maizie that if she kept the field mown she could use it if she wished, although she would have to move out if the Parish Council ever got the funds to carry out their plans. That was over 15 years ago. Major Steel has died and ten years ago the Parish Council obtained a legacy from a wealthy parishioner to fund a brand new sports facility on another site. For 15 years Maizie has kept the field mown and she has grazed...
