Bourdieu writes that У the natural and social world appear as self-evident. This experience we shall call a doxaФ (164). Doxa refers to that which is considered natural, that which we do not question. Bourdieu argues that, Уthe adherence expressed in the doxic relation to the social world is the absolute form of recognition and legitimacy through misrecognition of arbitrariness, since it is unaware if the very question of legitimacy, which arises from competition of legitimacyФ(168).
