What do we learn about Eva/Daisy Renton from Act Two? Eva Smith at the beginning of act two seemed to be breaking Sheila and Gerald apart, this is because they have both realised how much one and other are involved in the investigation, and the horror of how things have happened. We learn that this girl has committed suicide for many reasons and so far they all seem to be leading back to the Birling Family and Gerald, and their behaviour towards people of a lower class to them, "...that were simply absurd in a girl in her position." This shows how they look down on others of lower classes to them selves. The behaviour of Mrs Birling at the beginning of act two is the same as Eva Smith had when we were first introduced to her character.
