How Does Willy Russel Show the Changes in Ritas' Relationship with Frank to the Audience Educating Rita is a play by Willy Russel; it is about the education of Rita who is a working class hairdresser with her Open University tutor, called Frank. This essay will be focusing on the scenes starting at Act 1 scene 7 to the end of Act 2 scene 1. We see changes In Rita's relationship to Frank and her attitude to life. In Act 1 scene 8 Frank and Rita have fallen out while in Act 2 scene 1 they are now friends again. Rita's quote 'If that's what you're trying to tell me then I'll go now', this backs up that they have fallen out while in Act 2 scene 1 the phrase 'Frank it was fantastic' tells me that they are now friends again.
