Jess Jameson "Describe the work of Barristers, solicitors and Legal executives." There are two main sections of the judiciary professions in England and Wales, which have different functions. They are solicitors which are the larger of the two branches andbarristers and solicitors, Legal executives are also involved in the judiciary but pay a minor role. Although they seem very similar, there are some differences in the way they are trained and in the way they work. There are around 76000 practicing solicitors about 85% of whom are in private practice and 7000 barristers The solicitors would opt for a suit or smart clothes as they advocate only in solicitor courts these include the magistrate court and the small claims court unless they have an advocacy for the higher courts.
