Thesis: Alternate Dispute Resolution techniques are growing in popularity as they have many benefits over litigation and fewer disadvantages. Most importantly, ADR helps reduce costs, save time and both parties are satisfied with the end solution. The relationship between the parties is also not damaged. Introduction Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) refers to any means of settling disputes outside of the courtroom, typically including arbitration, mediation, early neutral evaluation, and conciliation. More and more states have started to opt for ADR as it is less expensive than litigation, there are no time delays, no loss of privacy and it is a highly effective alternative where all the parties concerned walk away satisfied.
