Bell-Magendie Law Jennifer Steele Psychology 300 Dr. House 04/03/06 Abstract The "Bell-Magendie Law" is so maned because it was discovered at the same time by two independent scientists. They were Charles Bell and Francois Magendie. Charles Bell was an expert surgeon and founder to what we now know as the "neurosciences". His perceptive observations resulted in, among many other findings, the "Bell-Magendie law". Bell wrote a book called "An Idea of a New Anatomy of the Brain."
