Most of the general public think that the way that the courts enforce these laws is by looking up these laws and giving sentences out that they think that should be given, this is not the case. In reality the court has to read the act in detail because although expert draughtsman make the acts, the acts are not always clear. The court has to use a number of ways to make the act apply to the specific case this is known as statutory interpretation.
