Every, or almost every, country in the world has their own legal system that governs the relationship between individual legal persons within the state or between individuals and the state but what of the law that governs the relationship between sovereign states? The law that governs relations between states is international law and over the years it has become increasingly prominent and is no longer exclusively concerned with the rules of warfare and diplomatic relations.
