Human Rights Act Assignment Student No: 182962 It would be easy to presume that the police in the UK could take advantage of the information that journalist have received in order for them so solve a crime. But unfortunately for the police, it is of up most importance for the journalists that they are able to keep their sources secret, in order for them to properly fulfil their job. Journalists argue that if the sources don't think that the information that they'll give will be protected from the police then understandably, they will not come forward to reveal their information. Therefore, a result of this could mean a stop in the free flow of information to the public.
