The court that trials the case is the Divisional court of Queen's Bench Division and the court that appeals the case is the House of Lords. In the Divisional court the judges that engaged with the case were Tuckey, Hale LJJ and Silber J. Tuckey is a Lord Justice of Appeal and Hale LJJ is the Lord and Lady Justices of Appeal. Both of them are ordinary Lords of the Court of Appeal, normally appointed from those holding the post of a High Court judge or those possessing a 10-year High Court qualification under the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990.
